US President Donald Trump has suggested he is now opposed to joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal just days after signalling the US could re-join the pact.
Mr Trump said on Twitter: "While Japan and South Korea would like us to go back into TPP, I don’t like the deal for the United States. Too many contingencies and no way to get out if it doesn’t work. Bilateral deals are far more efficient, profitable and better for OUR workers. Look how bad WTO is to U.S."
That came after Mr Trump last week ordered his top economic advisers to examine whether the US should rejoin the trade pact.
