Kazakhstan will join the Abraham Accords, the agreement that established diplomatic relations between Israel and several Arab states during Donald Trump’s first term in office.
The US president on Thursday announced the move following a phone call with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is attending a gathering of central Asian nations at the White House.
“This is a major step forward in building bridges across the World,” Trump wrote on his social media site Truth Social. “Today, more Nations are lining up to embrace Peace and Prosperity through my Abraham Accords.”
