The premier of China and president of South Korea are set to hold talks in Japan for the first time in more than five years, as US President Donald Trump’s hardline diplomacy shakes up relationships in east Asia.
Li Keqiang, the Chinese premier, and Moon Jae-in of South Korea will attend a three-way summit with Shinzo Abe, Japanese prime minister. Trade and North Korea are the main items on the agenda.
Mr Li arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday and Mr Moon is expected on Wednesday morning.
