At least 28 people were killed in a bomb attack targeting military officials near the headquarters of the Turkish navy in Ankara on Wednesday.
The Ankara governor said another 45 people were injured by the blast, believed to have been a car bomb aimed at a convoy of buses carrying military personnel as they stopped at traffic lights not far from government buildings and parliament.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu cancelled a planned trip to Brussels meant to discuss Europe’s migrant crisis.
