Omar Ismael Mostefai was identified by a finger blown off in the blast of the explosive belt he detonated in a Parisian concert hall, trying to kill as many people around him as possible. But three years ago, in a quiet and residential district of Chartres, about an hour’s drive south of Paris, he seemed just like a normal chap.
“Omar was a really great guy, friendly, open,” said a neighbour who knew him and his family from 2005 to 2012, when they moved out. “He talked to the kids, played football with the neighbours.”
Alexandre, 21, also a neighbour, -concurred: “Normal, really nothing -special.”
