Chinese consumer sentiment deteriorated by 10 per cent in 2014 but confidence was slightly edging up in the final month of the year.
The Westpac MNI China Consumer Sentiment Indicator increased 1.3 per cent in December to 112.5, rebounding from a three-year low in November. This is the first meaningful increase since July, reflecting some optimism for the business outlook and confidence in the real estate market.
