Two Chinese manufacturers of shipping containers have confirmed they are the subject of a US anti-dumping investigation.
State-backed China International Marine Containers told the Hong Kong stock exchange that "the company is one of the targets" of a US Department of Commerce investigation into whether the 53-foot dry shipping containers it exports to the US are being sold too cheaply, at the expense of domestic manufacturers.
Singamas, another Hong Kong-listed company that also makes freight containers, said it was also a subject of the same investigation.
