Huawei has forecast average annual revenue growth of 10 per cent over the next five years, as China’s largest vendor of telecoms equipment benefits from cloud computing, data analysis and smartphone sales.
That growth rate would mark a pick-up from an 8 per cent increase in revenues last year, which the company confirmed yesterday in its 2012 annual report.
Robust demand in China made up for weakness in other countries. Sales in China, accounting for about a third of Huawei’s overall business, rose 12.2 per cent last year, while its revenues elsewhere in the world rose 6 per cent – the exact reverse of 2011.
