Aviva, the UK life assurer, is looking to expand into Indonesia and Vietnam as part of its ambitious Asian growth strategy.
The company is looking to make an acquisition in Indonesia and to strike a joint venture in Vietnam, according to Simon Machell, chief executive of Aviva Asia Pacific.
Aviva's plans follow its entry six years ago into China, where it is now the third largest foreign life assurer after AIA, the US group that opened in Shanghai in 1919.
