JPMorgan on Monday announced the hiring of one of Asia's leading corporate lawyers to head its China business and expanded the role to lead the bank's ambitious plans in the country.
The US financial services group has recruited Zili Shao, Asia managing partner of Linklaters, the international law firm, who will become chairman and chief executive at the end of January.
Mr Shao succeeds Charles Li, who left as chairman of JPMorgan China in May to take over as head of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, the city's leading bourse.
